Sadler’s Wish Chasing “Quinntuplets” Of Victories
Jan 26, 2013
Owners of the talented Port Macquarie 5yo mare, Sadler's Wish are still enjoying the fruits of thoroughbred racing with the continued success of their chestnut mare, having gone to the races this preparation on 8 occasions for 1 placing and at the moment confidently winning her last 4 in a row, much to the delight of the owners and long standing associates of the talented Marc Quinn captained stables.
Sadler's Wish recent outing has some questioning whether Thirteen maybe lucky for some as the 5yo won on the first day of 2013 and has again won on the 13th day of the first month and as mentioned last time, her most recent win will not be her last.
The placement of Quinn trained runners is unquestionable, not only for this horse, but for the whole establishment having won 8 races from his last 14 starters, and in doing so, has shared it around the stables with 4 different thoroughbreds, including Sadler's Wish, Cultural, Lucy O'Charlemagne and Pentasia, not bad for a stable that is not flowing with the numbers of runners, that would normally attempt to get results like these.
But as the 10 runners paraded around the Port Macquarie mounting yard the expectation was that all were about to witness another victory for the locally trained favourite, whom the bookies were not going to let get out of their sites, however when you step out onto the track having won your last three to date the competition gets better and the chances of winning decreases with every grade, but even with the seasoned runners attempting to defeat her in the STEPHEN COOK MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 2000m, with whom combined have had 426 race starts between them, could only applaud as Sadler's Wish careered away with another rise in class taking out the event by 2.8 lengths and in doing so, has won her last 4 events by a combination of just under 10 lengths, supporting the theory that the cue should not be put back in the rack just yet.
