Cracker Night And Stradance To Compete At Taree On Monday

May 25, 2014

The Marc Quinn Racing Stables will head to the Taree-Wingham racing club meeting on Monday, 26th of May, where the weather is currently fine, track rating of the Dead 4 is current.

Marc will supply two thoroughbreds for that meeting the first being Cracker Night to be ridden by Terry Treichel in the Eddies Fresh Chickens benchmark 65 handicap over 1312 m with the pair jumping from barrier 2.

Cracker Night comes into this event following a first at Port over 1500 m in a benchmark 60 taking out the event on that occasion by a length in a time of 1:32.48 with the last 600m in 34.82, however last time out was disappointing when running over a mile at Taree where the four year old gelding only plodded on a Slow 6 track, a firmer footing this time out should see him more competitive.

The final event on the Taree card will see back-to-back winner Stradance take part in the Book The Winning Post Function Centre For July Class 2 handicap over 1257m, with Andrew Adkins to ride jumping from barrier four.

Stradance is a handy Strada three-year-old Bay Filly having start number eight, with the penny dropping the last two times out when she won at Port Macquarie by 4 lengths in a 1200meter maiden, and was last seen winning again at Kempsey by 3.8 lengths over 1250m on a Good three.

Stradance is really settling into herself this preparation and Marc has placed her beautifully, picking up bonus checks with her BOBS registration along the way.

The Stable would like to wish all connections the very best with their runners at Taree on Monday.
