Marc Quinn To Stay Local On Friday

The Marc Quinn Yard will supply two runners at this stage to the Port Macquarie racing club meeting on Friday, August 1st, with a track displaying a Dead five with the weather currently fine.

The first of the stable runners will come out in race five in a benchmark 55 handicap over 2000 m with Explosive Scene jumping from barrier four, with Allan Chau aboard in a field of 14. 

Explosive Scene is a four-year-old Bay gelding with recent runs being over a mile on July 12 at Newcastle, finishing eighth of 9 7.4 lengths off the winner, then stepped up to the 2018 meter mark at Port on July 19 finishing fourth of nine on that occasion 2.2 lengths behind the eventual winner with Raymond Spokes aboard.

The second of the stable runners will step out in the final event of the program in a class two handicap over 1500m with Towkash jumping from the widest gate with Alan Chau in charge with the race consisting of 14 runners.

Towkash is a five-year-old Brown gelding having start number two for the Marc Quinn team with his recent outing being over 1212m on July 19 at Port, finishing 9th of eleven when ridden by Sam Clenton, completing the outing 9.2 lengths behind the winner.
