First Class To Rio To Run At Taree

Marc Quinn will supply one runner to the Taree racing club meeting on Tuesday, August 12, with fine weather conditions predicted on a track reading a Good three at present.

The soul runner for the team will come out in race five in a class one handicap over 1265 m with a field of 10 runners lining up for the event, First Class To Rio will  be ridden by apprentice Andrew Adkins, jumping from barrier three.

First Class To Rio is a five-year-old Bay mare and is lining up at start number six with one x win and two x placings bringing about prize-money in excess of $21,000, she returned for this preparation after trialling at Port over 1012 m when finishing third of seven in that heat,  then made the trip to Coff's over 1012 m when ridden by Alan Chau, finishing third of 12 on that occasion with just under half a length separating the first 3.
