Three Seconds In A Row For Zinging

Dec 15, 2014

The Marc Quinn racing team saddled up Zinging for the hometown Port Macquarie meeting on Monday, December 15 with Andrew Adkins aboard jumping from barrier two in at 1200 meter maiden with a field of 13 to contest.

As the starter dispatched the field in the Cascade maiden handicap, Verna's Punt was fast into stride from a middle gate coming across safely to join the rail with Zinging tucked in behind the race leader in settling, Can't Skate was over racing early to be situated between those two runners one out off the fence with Aim For Glory at sizeable odds (90-1) in behind the that runner with a genuine tempo on display.

Coming off the side and heading for the turn it was still Verba's Punt controlling terms in front Can't Skate was there in second Zinging  was still tucked in behind the race leaders on the fence with Magnakali one outside the hip with the race looking like being decided with the first half a dozen runners as they straightened for the judge.

Upon straightening it was Verna's Punt with a kick coming off the rail,  down the centre of the track, Zinging was putting in an effort in the closing stages of the event but it was all Verna's Punt down to the line, Zinging arrived in second with the fast finishing Quad Indy picking up third position with a wall of horses behind the first three.
