Two Stable Runners To Compete At Port On Saturday

The Marc Quinn yard will supply two runners to the local Port MacQuarie race club meeting on Saturday, February 21 with rain predicted currently racing on a soft five.
The first of the stable runners Thiltre will come out in race six in a class one handicap over 1206 m with Alan Chau aboard jumping from barrier 2 in a field of 12.
Thiltre is a 3-year-old chestnut Filly having start number 10 with 1win & 2 placings earning prize-money in excess of $20,000 recent efforts have been at Port on January 1 finishing seven of 12 over 1206 with Andrew Adkins aboard landing eight lengths behind the winner and was last seen at Grafton on February second finishing midfield sixth of 12 with Cassandra Schmidt the pilot landing 2.7 lengths behind the winner in a race time of 1:11.09.
The next stable runner First Class To Rio will come out in race eight in a class 4 handicap over 1106 with Alan Chau in charge jumping from barrier 4 in a field of 12 first up from a spell.
First Class To Rio is a five-year-old Bay mare having start number 12 with three wins and four placings earning prize-money in excess of $42,000 after ending last preparation at Canterbury, she returned with a barrier trial at Taree on February 3 finishing seven of nine over 1007m and was last seen preparing for this via a Port trial over a thousand metres taking out that trial by a head on the line in a time of 1:00.57.
